Softball Recap: Viewmont Takes a Loss

Viewmont lost against Box Elder back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Bees, falling 17-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Viewmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marlee Moser, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Moser's first of the season.

Viewmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Box Elder, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viewmont will welcome Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.47 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Box Elder, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mountain Crest at 3:30 p.m. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.1 runs per game on average), something the Bees will no doubt try to take advantage of.
