Basketball Recap: Henry Hudson Comes Up Short

Henry Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Dunellen Destroyers at home by a 44-30 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Admirals of the 56-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunellen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jahzara McLaughlin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals. Sophie Jimenez was another key player, putting up 15 points and six steals.

Henry Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Henry Hudson and South Amboy will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Dunellen, they will take on Highland Park at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
