Baseball Game Preview: Diamond Bar Brahmas vs. Walnut Mustangs

Diamond Bar is 1-9 against Walnut since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Brahmas are taking a road trip to face off against the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Diamond Bar's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Walnut's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Friday just wasn't the day for Diamond Bar's offense. They fell just short of Ayala by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Sebastian Roseli was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Walnut sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Bonita on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Walnut's win bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Diamond Bar, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Diamond Bar couldn't quite finish off Walnut in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Brahmas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
