Baseball Game Preview: Choctaw Central Warriors vs. Quitman Panthers

The Choctaw Central Warriors will square off against the Quitman Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Choctaw Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Choctaw Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Union on Friday, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Yellowjackets since March 3, 2018.

Meanwhile, Quitman fell victim to Meridian and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Reid Bozeman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Quitman now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Choctaw Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Choctaw Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Quitman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
