Gulf Pointe Latin entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 45-6. The Gladiators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gulf Pointe Latin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maya Vaughn, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points and eight steals. The dominant performance gave Vaughn a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebekah Thompson, who posted 11 points and six steals.

Gulf Pointe Latin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Gulf Pointe Latin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Gulf Pointe Latin will take on Covenant Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next matchup, a 56-31 win against Beamer on the 14th.
