Baseball Recap: Bay Has No Trouble Against Walton

Bay never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Walton Braves 10-0. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Colby Hawkins was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Calvin Howard was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Liam Adams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Bay's record now sits at 4-1. As for Walton, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Bay will venture away from home to challenge Arnold at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walton, they will welcome Aletheia Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
