Softball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 21-1 to the Poland Seminary Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Monday.

Struthers' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Poland Seminary, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Struthers will take on Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Poland Seminary, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against LaBrae at 5:30 p.m. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
