Baseball Recap: Onalaska Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holmen, Onalaska was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Altoona Railroaders.

Trent Oyen was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Morse, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Onalaska's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Altoona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Onalaska will host Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Altoona, they will venture away from home to challenge Amery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
