Basketball Recap: Elkmont Comes Up Short

Elkmont suffered their biggest defeat since January 17th on Tuesday. They took a blow against the East Limestone Indians, falling 68-35. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Elkmont's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nyla Parker, who went 5-for-7 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds, and Anaya Williams, who posted four points. Parker is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Elkmont and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for East Limestone, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Elkmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-48 loss against Ardmore on the 21st. East Limestone has also already played their next game (against Athens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
