Basketball Recap: North Central Gets the Win

North Central lost to North Baltimore back in January of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the North Central Eagles made off with a 44-43 victory over the North Baltimore Tigers. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three contests in a row.

Despite the defeat, North Baltimore saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lacie Allison dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Allison's evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Allison, who posted nine points and eight boards.

North Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-11. As for North Baltimore, they moved to 11-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will venture away from home to square off against Stryker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Baltimore, they will square off against Swanton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
