Volleyball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Perry Meridian Falcons. The Cubs were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kyle Roney paced Madison's offense, picking up nine kills. Roney got some help from Aiden Smith and his 21 assists.

Avan Van was nothing short of spectacular for Perry Meridian: he had 20 digs and two aces.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Perry Meridian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.

Madison has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Franklin Community on the 3rd. As for Perry Meridian, they will face off against Lawrence North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
