Western Albemarle hasn't had much luck against Fluvanna County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Flying Flucos at 7:00 p.m. Western Albemarle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Western Albemarle is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Louisa County on Thursday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 8-2. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Western Albemarle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Hux, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Aniyah Sims, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County made easy work of Charlottesville on Thursday and carried off a 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Flying Flucos, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Fluvanna County's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Western Albemarle, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Western Albemarle couldn't quite get it done against Fluvanna County in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 11-7. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
