Volleyball Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. El Dorado Aztecs
Bel Air was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the El Dorado Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.
The final score came out to 25-16, 24-26, 25-18, 25-16.
El Dorado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalia Ruiz led the charge by getting 40 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Ruiz has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Hannah Garcia, who had 11 digs and one block.
Bel Air's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-17 record this season.
