Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Harry Hughes and Ken Reodica

Hinsdale Central was the 2-1 winner over Lincoln-Way West when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Hinsdale Central had strong showings from Ken Reodica, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Harry Hughes, who had 14 assists. Hughes has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 12 times he's played.

Hinsdale Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lincoln-Way West, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

Coincidentally, Hinsdale Central and Lincoln-Way West will both be playing Cathedral the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Fighting Irish at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
