Baseball Preview: Corning Bobcats vs. Cross County Thunderbirds
The Corning Bobcats will take on the Cross County Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Corning will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
While Corning's victory against Piggott wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Corning had just enough and edged out Piggott 6-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cross County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past East Poinsett County 11-1 on Monday. The Thunderbirds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
