Basketball Game Preview: Pilibos Eagles vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs

The Pilibos Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Pilibos' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

That was a full 67.2% of Pilibos' points, marking the tenth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Eric Honanian was another key player, putting up 11 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure lost to Village Christian on the road by a 73-58 margin on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, St. Bonaventure saw an underclassman step up: freshman Charlie Adams had 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Wilson, who posted 11 points.

Even though they lost, St. Bonaventure smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

St. Bonaventure's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Pilibos, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Pilibos hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 77.2 points per game. However, it's not like St. Bonaventure struggles in that department as they've been averaging 71.6 points.
