Basketball Recap: Kj Fauske Key Part of Team Effort in Sentinels Win

Seton Catholic is still undefeated this season after their contest against Holbrook on Friday, but Holbrook came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Sentinels narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Roadrunners 59-56. For the Sentinels, this counts as revenge for the 72-55 victory the Roadrunners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.

Seton Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kj Fauske out in front who shot 42% from the field en route to 23 points and four steals. The matchup was Fauske's fourth in a row with at least 22 points. Asthon Ries was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Seton Catholic's record now sits at 4-0. As for Holbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Seton Catholic and Holbrook will both be playing Scottsdale Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Roadrunners will head out to face the Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Sentinels will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
