Softball Recap: Cocke County Fighting Cocks vs. Volunteer Falcons
Cocke County put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They never let the Volunteer Falcons onto the board and left with an 8-0 win.
Shakyra Reed was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Williams, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Cocke County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Volunteer, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Cocke County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-1 victory vs. West Greene on the 20th. Volunteer has also already played their next match, a 9-1 defeat against Karns on the 20th.
