Volleyball Recap: Hickory Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Indian River last Thursday, Hickory came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Grassfield Grizzlies on Thursday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hickory couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Grassfield a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Hickory still got an impressive performance from Selena Stewart, who had 14 digs and four aces. Stewart is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
