Basketball Recap: Pendleton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ontario last Saturday, Pendleton came back down to earth. The Pendleton Buckaroos fell 62-49 to the Nixyaawii Community Eagles on Tuesday.

Pendleton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Nixyaawii Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Coming up, Pendleton will look to defend their home court on Friday against La Grande at 7:30 p.m. As for Nixyaawii Community, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-43 victory against Cove on the 12th.
