Softball Recap: Lake Station Edison Takes a Loss

Lake Station Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 19-0 to the Illiana Christian Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Fighting Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lake Station Edison's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Illiana Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Station Edison will face off against Griffith at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Fighting Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Illiana Christian, they will take on River Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ingots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
