Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wewahitchka). They never let the Sneads Pirates get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gators considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Severa Haney looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in hits (zero).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Rustin, who fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Laiken Ferrell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Wewahitchka hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sneads struck out 13 times.

Coming up, Wewahitchka will host Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Sneads, they will square off against Graceville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sneads has given up an average of 16.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
