Soccer Recap: Coronado's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

If Coronado was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Lubbock last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coronado Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Tascosa Rebels on Tuesday. The Mustangs were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three matches prior), but the Rebels' defense proved too tough.

With the loss, Coronado broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those three contests. As for Tascosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5-4.

As of now, neither Coronado nor Tascosa have any future games scheduled.
