Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Boro Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Point Pleasant Boro and Lacey Township had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers lost 17-3 to the Lions on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Wednesday.

Point Pleasant Boro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Dombrowsky, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Point Pleasant Boro now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lacey Township, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant Boro will face off against Howell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lacey Township, they will take on Toms River South at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
