Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Gets the Win

Franklin Academy got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They secured a 54-49 W over the Gouverneur Wildcats on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Brad Poupore was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Blake Hanna was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

The victory got Franklin Academy back to even at 3-3.

Franklin Academy and Beekmantown will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Gouverneur, they will look to defend their home court on December 27th against Harrisville at 7:00 p.m.
