Basketball Recap: Mohave Comes Up Short

Mohave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 47-16 loss at the hands of the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-16 back in December of 2024.

Kalli Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bradshaw Mountain, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (seven). Emma Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Mohave's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bradshaw Mountain, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Mohave has already played their next contest (against Lee Williams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bradshaw Mountain will venture away from home to challenge Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradshaw Mountain is facing Coconino at the right time seeing as Coconino is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
