Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Free State Finds Playoff Glory Versus Southeast

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lawrence Free State had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Southeast Golden Buffalo by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Firebirds sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Anniston Clark and Ella Roberts, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Tesssa Nover-Estes and her 25 assists. Taylor Stucker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lawrence Free State's win bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Southeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23 record this season.

Lawrence Free State has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Garden City on the 25th. Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
