After a string of four wins, Airport's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Huron Chiefs by a score of 7-5. The Jets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Olivia Tilley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Airport's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Huron, they moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Airport will face off against Ida at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Huron, they will take on Trenton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
