Canal Winchester gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS 48-17. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the CARDINALS are ranked 336th).

Quinton McGhee was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (175.5).

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canal Winchester will welcome Hilliard Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas Worthington, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Worthington Kilbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
