After losing to Chattahoochee the last time they met, Riverwood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Cougars 40-7. With the Raiders ahead 27-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

A big part of Riverwood's victory came down to the chemistry between Aj Rahal and his top target Zach Stair. Rahal threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while Stair picked up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those three passing touchdowns gave Rahal a new career-high.

Riverwood's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. David Ellis refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Chattahoochee's side was Lawrence Levine, who picked up 0.5 sacks, made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The win got Riverwood back to even at 1-1. As for Chattahoochee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Riverwood is headed away from home for the first time to face off against South Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chattahoochee, they will welcome Discovery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
