Flag Football Recap: Littleton Takes a Loss

Littleton suffered their biggest loss since September 16th on Wednesday. They were dealt a 36-6 defeat at the hands of the Green Mountain Rams. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Lions, who until this contest were averaging 12.07 points allowed.

Ceirra Wilburn threw for 82 yards and one touchdown. Josie Wallrath was her top target, picking up 28 receiving yards.

Marissa VanGuilder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Green Mountain, picking up 116 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, VanGuilder is now averaging an impressive 100.9 receiving yards per game.

This is the second loss in a row for Littleton and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Green Mountain, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Littleton will challenge Ponderosa on Tuesday. As for Green Mountain, they have already played their next game, a 34-0 victory against Golden on the 11th.
