Hoover has gone 9-1 against Perry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Panthers at 6:45 p.m. One thing working in Hoover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hoover beat Louisville 56-51. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Leopards are ranked 145th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Perry waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Polar Bears 52-37. The matchup marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season so far.

The victory got Perry back to even at 4-4. As for Hoover, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Hoover beat Perry 57-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
