Baseball Recap: Umatilla Find Success

Umatilla won the last time they faced Nyssa and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 9-8. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Carter Monahan, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. David Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Umatilla has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Nyssa, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
