Softball Recap: Strathmore Spartans vs. Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves        
        
		
            
 Strathmore's game  last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Monday. They came out on top against the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves by a score of  13-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Strathmore considering their two-run performance the  match before.
 Strathmore got a great performance from  Kylie Lee as she  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  Elisabeth Ceballos and  Janie Wilkinson did most of the damage at the plate:  Ceballos  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-5, while  Wilkinson  scored a  run while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elisabeth Wilkinson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 On Wonderful College Prep Academy's side,  Avelina Lopez was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over six innings pitched. Lopez was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Estrella Pulido stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Sandy Ulloa, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Strathmore's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strathmore will  take on Farmersville at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The last three games Farmersville has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they are on the road again  on Wednesday to play Woodlake at 4:00  p.m. Woodlake's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9  runs per game  this season, so Wonderful College Prep Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
