The Crescenta Valley Falcons will square off against the San Pedro Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crescenta Valley will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
Crescenta Valley barely beat Muir the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.
Colin Moore looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Charlie Carafotes and Brock Robeson did most of the damage at the plate: Carafotes scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Robeson went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Robeson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmy Spears, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Crescenta Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muir only posted a batting average of .188.
Meanwhile, San Pedro fell victim to Banning and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the Pilots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
San Pedro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Braydon Griffin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Crescenta Valley's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for San Pedro, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
San Pedro's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Crescenta Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for San Pedro, though, as they've only averaged .328. Will they be able to contain Crescenta Valley's hitters?
