Softball Recap: Yonkers Finds Home Field Redemption Against Barack Obama School for Social Justice

There's no place like home for Yonkers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning on Thursday as they made off with a 30-13 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Lightning: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on ShyAnn Wright, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Sofia Lauda was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Yonkers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Yonkers' win bumped their record up to 2-7.
