Chaparral has gone a perfect 3-0 against Doherty recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wolverines will face off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Chaparral's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chaparral's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Vista on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Doherty was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Vista Ridge could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

With that draw, Doherty's record moves to 5-7-1. As for Chaparral, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-4.

Everything went Chaparral's way against Doherty in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Chaparral made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
