Volleyball Recap: Eastmark Takes a Loss

Eastmark came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Firebirds in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

While Eastmark was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.

Isaac Wolcott paced Eastmark's offense, picking up five kills. Wolcott got some help from Noah Lytle and his seven assists. Lytle was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Eastmark's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Eastmark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Crismon on the 25th. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against ALA - Gilbert North on the 25th.
