Basketball Game Preview: Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers vs. Twinsburg Tigers

Cuyahoga Falls and Twinsburg are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers will be playing at home against the Twinsburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Saturday, a win is a win, as they say, even a pretty close 24-19 win over Roosevelt.

Meanwhile, Twinsburg hadn't done well against Wadsworth recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Twinsburg managed a 30-25 victory over Wadsworth.

Cuyahoga Falls better keep an eye on Kayla Cellura. She was instrumental in Twinsburg's win, going 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points. Mackenzie Sweeney was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Cuyahoga Falls pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Twinsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Cuyahoga Falls came up short against Twinsburg in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 41-34. Can Cuyahoga Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
