Byron Center extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 6-3. They walked away with a 38-26 victory over Morris. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Morris, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morris fell to 8-1. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Morris still got an impressive performance from Caeden Curran, who rushed for 147 yards and a pair of scores. Curran has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played.

Byron Center and Morris should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 30th) will meet Portage Northern (ranked 93rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Morris will take on Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (17 vs. 269).
