Orangefield has gone 4-0 against Kirbyville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Orangefield Bobcats face off against the Kirbyville Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Orangefield will be strutting in after a win while Kirbyville will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Orangefield didn't have too much trouble with Warren as they won 45-31.

Meanwhile, Kirbyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-16 defeat at the hands of East Chambers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1245th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 480th).

Kirbyville's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Orangefield, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Orangefield came out on top in a nail-biter against Kirbyville in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 36-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orangefield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
