Baseball Recap: Mount Tahoma T-Birds vs. North Thurston Rams
Mount Tahoma had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it seven. They lost 15-0 to the North Thurston Rams. The T-Birds were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.
As for North Thurston, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.
For North Thurston's part, Jaylen Kennedy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kennedy has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBI.
