Soccer Game Preview: Pasquotank County vs. First Flight

Pasquotank County is 0-10 against First Flight since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Panthers will look to defend their home pitch against the Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

While Pasquotank County's victory against Hertford County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers beat the Bears by a goal, winning 5-4. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Pasquotank County's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, First Flight waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Aces a 9-0 shutout. First Flight might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by three goals or more this season.

First Flight's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those three contests. As for Pasquotank County, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.
