Softball Recap: Mica Mountain Falls Short of Salpointe Catholic in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mica Mountain can now relate to. They came up short against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers on Thursday, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in April.

Mica Mountain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shaylee Fuell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mica Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 22-13. As for Salpointe Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won 19 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Mica Mountain nor Salpointe Catholic have any future games scheduled.
