Baseball Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short

Rockledge hit Cocoa with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 13-3 to the Raiders. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Cocoa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Champ Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Cocoa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Rockledge, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Cocoa will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bayside at 6:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Rockledge, they have already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Bellevue East on the 20th.
