Barron Collier has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Golden Gate recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Barron Collier Cougars will welcome the Golden Gate Titans  at 7:00  p.m. Barron Collier will be strutting in after a  win while Golden Gate will be coming in after a  defeat.
Barron Collier gave up the first  runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmetto Ridge, sneaking past  11-10. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.
 Leena Forbes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and nine unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Gianna Frino and  Kathryn Hanypsiak did most of the damage at the plate:  Frino  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Hanypsiak  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  Frino a new career-high in  doubles (two). Another player making a difference was  Abigail Rascher, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Golden Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Naples, falling  18-3. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by  exactly 15  runs.
  Zoey Beaird made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Barron Collier,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
