The Gaithersburg Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gaithersburg has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Seneca Valley will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Monday, Gaithersburg was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-44 to Einstein.

Seneca Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mina Hashemzadeh, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Hashemzadeh continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Brielle Watson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Seneca Valley used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Quince Orchard. And. Teagan Phillips made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with two steals. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Gaithersburg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
