Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rockingham County

Rockingham County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 34-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Nate Revis made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Luke Stritmatter was a standout: he scored five runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Hudson Deel was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
