While Warren Township didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Trier Trevians on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Trevians last Tuesday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Andrew Cowell paced Warren Township's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cowell got some help from Joel Paasch and his 24 assists. Finally, Paasch was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Warren Township is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for New Trier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Warren Township wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Carmel on the 15th. As for New Trier, they will welcome Maine South at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trevians surely won't give up without a fight.
