Basketball Recap: Elgin Comets vs. Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers
The Elgin Comets lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 66-42 defeat to Waynesfield-Goshen might stick with them for a while. Elgin has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Elgin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maycee Muselin, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Samantha Girton who scored nine points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Muselin hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
